Make Your Skin Glow With Carrots

  1. Get as many  carrots as you want.
  2. Cut them into small chunks.
  3. Boil the carrot chunks for about 15 minutes or until they are soft.
  4. Blend into a paste or if using a mortar and pestle, pound into a soft paste.
  5. Add some honey and lime/lemon juice.
  6. Stir mixture thoroughly to mix.
  7. Rub paste on skin from head to toe and leave on for at least 20 minutes. Leave on for up to an hour for faster results.
  8. Rinse off with water.
Now, dress up and glow!!!

Neni, Neni, Neni, you're just so knowledgeable.

I think I will incorporate this carrot mix into the body butter I use. I'm all for natural way of looking good!

    2. Zinnia:
Hi Itse, my body butter is a mix of Shea butter, Coconut oil, Olive oil. But I intend adding more natural oils for a nutritional body butter.

I put all these in a plastic container with cover, place it in a pot of water under fire. When the content has liquefied, I pour it in a reusable body cream container and place it in the freezing part of Fridge to turn it to butter.

  4. Neni thank u so much for this blog. God bless u. I want know if u can use the carrot raw without cooking it as I feel the act of cooking will reduce the nutrients. How about just blending it into a paste?

    1. Hello, Anon!
Boiling carrots increases their nutritional value. You can use it raw but you get more bang for your buck if you boil them.

    1. Hi, ChubbyElla!
Thank you for stopping by. I'm glad you like my blog.
Yes you can make it in large quantities but you hav to refrigerate it. Try to use each batch you make within 5 days.

  6. Hello Neni,
Heard about this a long time but didn't know how to go about it... Can I also grate and squeeze out the juice instead of bringing it to the boil?
    Sugar...

    1. Hi, Sugar!
You can do it but it may not be as effective as when boiled.

Neni, I hope you don't mind me dropping one or two things?

Sugardoe, you can create carrot oil with the method you suggested. Get a suitable oil(olive, coconut, almond), pour it in a small pot, add your grated carrots and boil under the lowest heat. The nutrients in the carrot will be dissolved in the oil making it have an orange colour.

Sieve the oil from the residue and store in a bottle. You can use as desired. You can also use it for your hair too. Take care.

    1. Hi,
Use the lightening treatment I wrote about in the post titled: Lighten Your skin Naturally.
Do it twice a day for the next 2 months then get back to me on any development.
