A Yummy Avocado Body Scrub...

I just can't help it, I can't seem to stop loving my body scrubs. Here's another to tickle your fancy...

This particular scrub is fantastic for those of you who have sensitive skin. I use it on days when my skin starts to 'para' and after two applications, all will be well :)

What you need:
  1. 1 cup Of Brown Sugar
  2. 1 cup Olive Oil
  3. 1 blended Avocado
  • Add all the ingredients into a bowl
  • Stir thoroughly to mix well
  • Rub all over your body. If you've got acne prone skin avoid your face.
  • Leave for 20 minutes.
  • Rinse off and pat body dry.
This scrub is very, very moisturizing. It will help to exfoliate and hydrate your skin.

Try it and see if everyone won't want to hug you or hold your hand!

An Ah-Mazing Body Scrub for Stretchmarks and Cellulite

Hello, peoples!

I know I have been away for some time...for too long me if you ask me! I was testing some mixtures and treatments. I will try not to 'fashi' your side like that again. Pinky swear!

So, last Thursday, as I was bustling about in my secret lab... (mmmuhahaha!!), I had some ingredients left over from one of my concoctions and I decided to make a lovely body scrub from them.

They were:
Ground coffee    2 cups
Olive Oil             Half a cup
Brown Sugar (White sugar will do just fine)     1 cup

  • Pour everything into a bowl and stir thoroughly.
  • Rub the mixture all over your body in circular motions. Concentrate on your problem areas.
  • Leave for 20 minutes. Rinse off and pat dry.

Now doesn't your body feel smooth? Don't you smell like a cup of coffee?

Yes! Yes!

An Easy DIY Hair Mask

Keep your hair smooth and shiny with this simple hair mask. It makes my hair feel so silky!

All you need to do is simply mix honey and olive oil in a mixing bowl and microwave for 15 seconds. Alternatively, put the mixture in a pot of water and heat for 5 minutes. The idea here is to warm the mixture. So, sorry for my plenty grammar :)

Apply to dry hair and let it sit for 30 minutes. For extra moisture wear a shower/heating cap.
Wash it out with your favourite shampoo and say hello to beautiful hair!

Do this once or twice a week and see what happens!

Good Luck!

A Natural Remedy For Premature White Hair

How many of you spotted a strand or two of white hair while you are/ were in your twenties? Lol, I'm sure you know yourselves. *winks*

If white hair occurs in more than half of the hair before an individual is 40 years old, then the condition is referred to as premature gray hair. That kind of white hair is said to be as a result of underlying health conditions such as vitiligo, thyroid problem, deficiency of vitamin B12, reduced bone mineral density, anemia and at times, stress. I can relate to the stress part!

There are several effective natural remedies for premature graying, which can be followed to cure white hair, however, below is one I have been using and has been working for me, I hope it works for you too. It also gives your hair an extra moisture boost!

You'll need:

Curry  Leaves

Coconut Oil
Massage the scalp with pure coconut oil each night before going to bed and wash next day.

Add chopped curry leaves in coconut oil and heat for 2-3 minutes on low heat.
Allow to cool until warm.
Use the oil with curry leaves for massaging the scalp.

NOTE: This treatment is for PREVENTING premature white hair and slowing down the process of greying. It doesn't work miracles O! :o

Good Luck!

Moisturize Your Hair With Mayonnaise

What you need: Just mayonnaise!

Step 1:  Prep your hair using  warm water to get it just damp, not soaking wet.
Step 2:  Scoop some mayonnaise from the jar and start rubbing it using your hair like you would a conditioner. The total amount that you are going to use depends upon the length and thickness of the hair. Feel free to add the amount that you simply feel most comfortable with.
Step 3:  Wrap your hair with a shower cap, a plastic bag, or any kind of plastic wrap to capture the heat inside. The heat will open the pores and make the treatment to penetrate strands further and therefore work better.
Step 4:  Leave the mayonnaise on the hair for at least 20 minutes. You can let it sit longer if your hair is really dry.
Step 5:  Wash the mayonnaise out. You may want to shampoo a few times to be able to get all of the mayonnaise out. Make sure to use the shampoo gently, not tangling the hair.

Do this a few times and see the difference in your hair. I know I did!
